A 16th Century Japanese tea master originated the four character saying, “Ichi-go ichi-e.”
This can be translated as, “In this moment, there is an opportunity.”

Ride alongside the Clark family during their 2019 bikepacking trip to Japan where they explored a 600 mile loop around the island of Hokkaido and learned to make the most of each moment along the way.

Here, dreams of sushi, temples, and pavement materialized into a relaxing family vacation where Dan and his family of four rode bikes though the beautiful country on quiet roads.
